About The Campus Group

The Campus Group, a division of Ripple Effect 4, is a privately owned company which was conceptualised in 1999. The Group was unable to identify global technology appropriate to SA’s unique circumstances and has had a full time development team creating its technology solutions since inception.

The Campus Group has created Virtual campuses for Volkswagen, Audi, The Don Hotel Suites, SEAT automotive, Untamed Africa, STTI , Key Performance Technologies, Spescom (who utilise the virtual campus technology for Vodacom, Relyant, Edcon, Cape Town LMC, Nedcor and I-Comms), Eco Training, Corporate Excel Training and AfriTrust among others).

The Campus Group offering does not replace face-to-face education, but provides an "always-there", On-Demand resource for employees to access and test themselves. This avoids employees being in jobs with a function they do not properly understand, waiting for the next face-to-face session. Advanced back-end functionality allows the company to control access and monitor employee progress.

THE CAMPUS GROUP PROFESSIONALS

Peter Armitage

Peter conceptualised and founded The Campus Group. Peter is a chartered accountant and has run and consulted to various business in different industries. He has relevant experience in IT and education and was SA's top education analyst on the JSE in 1999, while he was a director at Deutsche Bank and then Merrill Lynch. Peter received 12 number one ratings in 6 different sectors on the JSE and was voted SA's top investment analyst in 1998. In 1999 he won the PMR Golden Arrow Award for the Most Respected Investment Analyst, as voted for by his peers. Peter heads up the Industrial and Financial Analysis division for Investec, in addition being The Campus Group Chairman.

Todd Kaplan

Todd is one of the founders, and current Managing Director of the Group. He has a background in the life sciences and has a BSc (Zoology and Entomology) from Rhodes University. He also has a BSc. Honours Degree in Wildlife Management and Ecology from the University of Pretoria (Centre for Wildlife Management). Todd brings big corporate education experience to the business after having worked as the Academic head, logistics officer and academic course co-ordinator at the Educor Group.

In addition to the Campus Group, Todd also manages the subsidiary businesses which include, Investor Campus, WildlifeCampus and Cultural Guiding as well as the Holding Company, Ripple Effect 4.
